Home Based Income: Creative Moms Are Working At Home

Somewhere between being totally computer illiterate and one more lame attempt to figure out my email I had a brilliant thought.

Wow just THINK of the possibilities of this internet thing for making CRAZY money. I mean a global audience? That was some large market! In that moment my home based internet make money aspirations were born.

My epiphany was hardly new. Hundreds and thousands of other net savvy folks had already figured this out.

In the Beginning ..

Mostly I kept chanting ‘must make money in sleep’ While scrambling here and there and everywhere on the net trying to figure it all out until I had another mind blowing realization.

Making money on the net (just like other places) requires time, patience and work. There are no ‘get rich overnight’ quick fixes.

That my friends is the bad news.

The good news is that in no other time in human history has the average Joe and Suzan possessed the ability to be in a business literally overnight with virtually no overhead and little cost. This truly IS the Good news for thousands of every day people and especially stay at home moms looking for a fast startup home based business.

Stay at home moms suddenly experiencing household budget shortfalls increasingly turn to the ‘power of the net’ as a their preferred cash crunch solution. The ideal course of action is to not simply seek out programs and ’systems’s’ that focus on short term gains but instead those that will help to insure financial security for many many years to come.

So what if you (like me when starting out) don’t know one end of an email from the other. The first thing I would say is this .. EVERYONE starts out that way. Heck if we all started out knowing everything there wouldn’t be a reason to know anything! If you have a desire to learn your only other immediate requirement will be persistence.

There is a VAST treasure trove of high quality and free learning resources on the internet. Are you motivated enough to seek them out?

Just A Few More Friendly Suggestions Before You Begin ..

Avoid getting caught up on the internet opportunity bandwagon.

There is an over abundance of hype on the net. Learn to view opportunity and especially internet opportunity with a discriminating and discerning eye but without becoming closed minded and blinded to very real possibilities. Keep and maintain the focus of your mission which is to find a personally satisfying way to MAKE more money,
not create more debt.

RESIST the temptation to pull out your credit card to join the ‘next hot opportunity.’ There is not now and will never be a shortage of hot opportunities on the net. If you find that you
missed out on opportunity XYZ - Don’t worry another will be along momentarily! Sooner or later EVERYONE learns that the lion share of ‘hot new opportunities’ are not hot at all. Most of them aren’t very new either! Learn to guard your wallet and purse strings like an old prospector that has yet to discover gold.

I disagree with some current ‘experts’ and say that YES you certainly CAN make money with free resources and even cookie cutter websites. Using free resources is a great way to
gain experience without loosing money. You are not likely going to retire by using free resources exclusively but they can serve an even higher purpose. You’ll get your feet wet and learn a
little bit while hopefully making a few bucks in the bargain!

The Dreaded Four Letter Word … W O R K

Even if you are promoting affiliate programs with free websites there is still some work to be done. Don’t let that fact trouble you much. Allow your work journey to be a good learning AND earning experience. You’ll find this much better than going broke buying into the next latest - greatest - hot opportunity - widget or whatever.

In the mean time put some serious thought into what it is that you REALLY want to accomplish in your online work at home business creation.

If your goal is to make obscene money in a week or two keep playing the lottery. If on the other hand you find yourself ‘hooked’ on the idea of learning on the net and
building wealth as a method of achieving permanent and long term financial security then congratulations - you are REALLY ready to begin a fascinating journey!

Develop a NEW mantra ‘love what you do and success will follow.’

When confident and ready to make a commitment envision your success. Wisely choose your project and get it going….

Yes in time everyone has to part with some cash if they hope to grow it into more cash. Even the lottery makes that demand.

Plan on ultimately spending both time and money to realize your goals.

The ‘experts’ will all tell you that most people will fail in their endeavor to create substantial income on the internet. While this is most likely true it can probably be traced to unreal expectations from the start.

Business and in particular internet business can be extremely unforgiving. This is especially true for people living on pipe dreams. Make a pledge to not be one of them.

Eventually you’ll want to discover your own special niche.

Rediscover or perhaps discover for the first time what it is that you know and then develop a passion to share your gifts with others. Not only will you be much happier you’ll personally guarantee your own success!

You simply cannot fail if you love what you do and then plan to succeed..

As I contemplate my own internet adventures (and some misadventures)I often think .. ‘many would have given up.’ The reason I did not is because I have learned to enjoy the journey (ok I admit that waking up to my inbox with subject lines saying things like ‘you got paid’ doesn’t hurt either!)

Enjoy the journey and you simply cannot fail!

Seven Fun Things You Can Do with Popcorn

What type of popcorn lover are you? How do you cook it, stove top, microwave, air popped or camp fire roasted? How about toppings, naked, salted, drenched in butter, cheese laddened, covered in carmel, or coated in chocolate.

Plain popcorn balls are great on their own. However, you can easily change them into something spectacular. You can cover a popcorn ball with white cake icing and red licorice lace to resemble a baseball. If that is too much, you can dress them up by wrapping them in colored plastic wrap. For halloween, wrap them in orange plastic wrap, glue on cut out construction paper eyes, nose and mouth for an edible mini jack-o-lantern.

Popcorn lends its self for great ideas during halloween. Don’t forget the freakishly realistic witch’s hand. All you need is plastic food preparation gloves, candy corn for the finger nails, fill with popcorn and a ribbon to close off the bag. Add a plastic spider ring and watch the fingers bend in odd directions.

Need to keep the kids busy for Christmas? Why not set them in front of a bowl of popcorn and string popcorn garland for the Christmas tree. This will keep them busy for a little while. Maybe it will even become a family tradition.

Going to visit a family for the holidays? Why not send a popcorn tin.
Need a teachers gift? Why not make a movie night kit. Fill a bowl with candy, microwave popcorn and a gift certificate to your local movie rental store. This is always a great gift. Or you could fill your own tin with some of the recipes below.

Make your own old time favorite homemade cracker jack mix. (recipe)

=====

Crackerjacks Caramel Popcorn
CDKitchen http://www.cdkitchen.com

Category: Caramel Corn
Serves/Makes: 4 cups | Difficulty Level: 3 | Ready In: 1-2 hrs

Ingredients:
4 cups freshly popped corn lightly salted

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup (light)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Options 1 cup of peanuts

Directions:

My wife makes this and it has crackerjacks beat;

Put popcorn in shallow roasting pan (large pan). In heavy saucepan mix sugar, butter and corn syrup. Stir over medium heat until boiling. Continue boiling 5 min. without stirring. Remove from heat; add vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well.

Bake in preheated 250 degree oven for 1 hr., stirring several times. Cool, break apart and store in tightly covered container. (Cool on waxed paper so it won’t stick to pan) Note; if desired 1 cup. peanuts may be added to popcorn BEFORE adding caramel sauce.

========

How about chocolate covered popcorn. All you need is cooked popcorn and chocolate chips. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in the microwave taking time not to burn the chocolate. Put the melted chocolate in a plastic bag, snip the corner off making a tiny hole the size of a pencil point. Squeeze and drizzle over popcorn. Let cool until hardened. This makes great favors for any party.

Now that you have some great ideas, get popping!

Budgeting Through Elective Utilities

Filed under: Finance, Personal-Finance — Daymon Hoag @ 9:17 pm

Telephone, Internet, and television service are all examples
of elective utilities. These utilities, though many times
necessary, are not essential to basic living standards in
the United States like gas, electricity, and water. Elective
utilities are no less important to a household budget.

When budgeting elective utilities, the trick is to find a
company offering the same service or better for a lower
rate. This may sound like a statement from Captain Obvious,
but it is amazing how many people are willing to pay a
higher rate for the same service, and for no good reason.

Some people fear change, others feel they don’t have the
time to track down lower rates for service, and still others
think they won’t save a significant amount of money and
don’t want to be inconvenienced. Of course there are also
those who just don’t have a need for saving money. I’m not
one of them.

One could always cut down on the amount of usage for
services, however, this is not usually very practical. You
have those services for a reason, you use them. Some
elective utilities don’t even have a usage rate but a
monthly fee regardless of usage such as television service.

Consider this, if you were to take just three of your
elective utilities and cut your bill by ten dollars on each
one every month you just saved enough money to pay another
small bill. When you look at it that way, thirty dollars is
nothing to sneeze at. That’s a whopping $360.00 a year.

It doesn’t sound like such a small amount of money now does
it? What could you do with an extra $360.00? Make a car
payment? Pay your car insurance? I would bet you know
exactly what you would do with that money if you had it
right now. If you’re like me you’re probably thinking of
ways to save even more.

Let me share with you a few of my favorite ways to save
money on elective utilities. The first thing to look at is
price, that much is obvious. Though price is important,
there are other variables to look at other than the bottom
line rate, usage is probably the single most important
factor.

Unlimited usage is king in budgeting. I used to use MCI
Neighborhood bundled with unlimited local and long distance
for fifty dollars a month. At the time it was a good deal,
but cost me around eighty dollars a month after the hidden
fee’s taxes and surcharges where added into the equation.

I took the leap to broadband telephone service which cost me
twenty dollars a month for the exact same thing minus hidden
fee’s and sir charges. I have had broadband phone for over a
year and absolutely love it. I saved sixty dollars a month
just on my phone bill alone. In a year I saved $720.00 on
phone service!

When looking for cheaper elective’s think price plus usage.
Unlimited usage is of course better than a rate plan unless
you use very little of the service to begin with but need it
from time to time. In that case it is better to go with the
bare essentials. If your usage increases you can always
upgrade.

Sometimes it will cost you a little extra money up front to
get started with a new service provider. There may even be a
few minor inconveniences at first. Try to stay focused on
the end result and the big payoff. Chances are good you’ll
get back any money spent to activate new service in a couple
months.

Relationship Trouble: Making Assumptions

Filed under: Relationships — Jeff Herring @ 7:51 pm

Most of us have heard the saying “assuming makes an ass (out of) u (and) me.

But did you know that assumptions are considered the lowest form of knowledge?

And yet we ass-u-me we know exactly what our partner wants and needs. We then act accordingly, and are stunned and hurt when we find out we were wrong.

The cure for making assumptions

Did you know that there is a cure for making assumptions? Well, I usually try to make things as simple and useable as possible, without all the psycho-babble junk.

As Albert Einstein said:

“Everything should be made as simple as possible but no simpler.”

But this time I’m going to have to get a little complicated and show off that high priced degree for which I worked so hard. Hold on to your seats, and get pen and paper in hand, because here comes a very complex and sophisticated psychological principle:

The cure for assuming is to (drum roll, please…..) ASK!

That’s right ask.

It really can be that simple.

And away with the silly notion that if you have to ask then it doesn’t mean as much. As speaker and author Mark Victor Hansen (“Chicken Soup for the Soul”) is fond of saying,

“you have to A-S-K to G-E-T.”

HIV - Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Too many know as the aids virus that lives in the blood and other body fluids, within the blood or white blood cells of the infected person. Large scale transmit of this virus occur due to unprotected sexual intercourse, sharing of drug injections, infected used in transfusion, and in some occasions through pregnancy when the virus is passed from mother to child. It’s important to understand that people don’t catch aids, they become infected with HIV due to many one of the above listed transmits.

Secondly we need to understand the positive results of HIV that is when the body has been infected by the human immunodeficiency virus. When blood tests are carried out doctors don’t search for HIV but they come across it in our blood, HIV+, HIV antibody positive or seropositive HIV add up to the simple meaning of being infected with positive HIV results. The HIV virus is not a disease it’s a progressive emanation that damages your body immune system.

The HIV virus is best know for targeting the T cells having chances of attacking the cells of the brain, nervous system, digestive system and lymphatic system. Hence the T cells can be referred to as the brain operator of our system, and when these cells are infected our body becomes weak and cannot battle bacteria, cancer, fungi and other parasites, When T cells are infected with HIV it kills the strength of a human progressive and recovery system.

Once HIV infects your T cells then it works like a factory reproducing itself to grow the virus inside the body, which eventually results in the virus moving into the bloodstream. HIV can destroy all fresh T cells repeating its process of reproduction in this manner. The immune system then gets absolutely weekend multiplying this virus all over you, this can be termed as “opportunistic infection”.

A person with a HIV-weekend immune system comes down with one or more of rare opportunistic infections, with low T cell counts it can be diagnosed as an AIDS patient, ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICENCY SYNDROME. AIDS can be thought of the most severe form of HIV disease, all but a handful of medical experts now believe that HIV is the primary agent that leads to the development of AIDS.

Fat Burning Food - The Search for the Holy Grail

Fat is taboo these days. The world is at loggerheads with it and in this battle, the ace up its sleeve is the fat burning food. Though it sounds too good to be true, but fat burning food actually has the capacity to melt fat and make it easier for the body to flush it out.

The green brigade wins easily when it comes to formulating a fat burning food diet. Not only are vegetables and fruits healthy, some of them serve as the best fat burning food that is around.

Amongst the fruits, citrus fruits like orange, lemon, grapefruit and tangerine, with an abundance of Vitamin C, help in diluting the fat deposits in the body. The diluted fat is thus rendered ineffective and it also becomes easy to wash it out.

Fruits like apples and berries feature high in the fat burning food list. They contain a chemical called pectin, which limit the cells’ capacity to absorb fat and also makes them release their fat holdings. If averse to fruits, soybeans, thrice weekly, will also serve the same purpose.

So if you are weighed down by ever-expanding girths, resorting to a diet rich in natural fat burning food is safer than surrendering yourself to the surgeon’s scalpel. Take Brad Pitt’s word for it.

Many vegetables serve as good fat burning food. Brussels sprouts and tomatoes, the latter containing vitamin C, are a must in any fat burning food list for they stimulate the pancreas and kidney to flush out the waste matter and thus cleanse the body cells.

Lettuces, radishes and horseradishes are rich in iron and magnesium, which are proven to possess fat dissolving properties. These minerals actually speed up the metabolic process, wherein the body goes into a frenzy of activity to burn down the fat deposits. Carrots and onions also find favor as fat burning food because they help in whetting up the metabolism.

Diuretics actually break down fat so that the body can readily dispose it. Beets, cucumber, garlic, cabbage and apple cider vinegar are some diuretics that are excellent fat burning food.

Any fibrous food item is probably the best natural fat burning food that you can have. Fibers not only help to rinse the body cells of their fat but also fill you up quickly and decrease the body’s calorie absorption rate, so that you experience less hunger pangs.

Thus in any self-respecting fat burning food list should obviously contain grains, root vegetables like white and sweet potatoes, turnips, tough-skinned fruits and unsalted nuts and seeds.

A tooth for a tooth. A claw for a claw. So why not fat for fat! Liquid fats like corn, sunflower and peanut oils and fatty acids found in fishes and some vegetable oils (except coconut and palm) are natural fat burning food that help the body get rid of harmful fats and also provide the body with the requisite fat quota.

With fat burning food in your arsenal, it is good riddance to bad fat.

Protect your Child from Sexual Abuse

We generally teach girls to be passive and reward them for doing so. Girls are raised to be quiet, sweet and pretty; they are never to make a ’scene.’ Boys are taught, expected and praised to be tough and self-assured, even at times when something troubles them. Whenever a person is traumatized, he/she resorts to familiar behavior; for girls this behavior usually means passivity while boys usually, ‘tough it out’—thinking if they are strong and unemotional, no harm can occur.

Self-protection offers a direct and effective way to empower children to help themselves. Since the perpetrator (a.k.a. sex offender) cunningly and with forethought sets the stage to perpetrate this crime in secrecy, who is better able than the child to protect him/herself? Perpetrators say they can sense a child to victimize; they sense this by the child’s demeanor, body language and facial expressions. They sense the fear, the helplessness and the passivity. Perpetrators choose victims who they assume will keep the secret. Children who have experienced body boundary violations through hitting or spanking are more frequently targets for sex offenders than children who haven’t been hit or spanked. Children who have been spanked or hit take on the belief that their bodies are the property of others, they are more passive, fearful of authority (i.e. adults), and are less apt to protest the sexual violation or tell. No child needs to fall prey to these cunning predators.

Without knowledge of and permission to exercise self-protection, the only defense a child has against any kind of abuse is to accept the blame. A child cannot conceive the idea, ‘My father, uncle, mother, grandpa, grandma, aunt, brother, sister, cousin, friend, teacher, or baby-sitter is sick.’ Therefore, the only way to survive sexual abuse or incest is to assume that it is her/his fault. A child has unquestioning trust for everyone. ‘Daddy, grandpa, uncle, cousin is good; it must be me.’ “What is wrong with me?” More important, he/she wants and needs his/her family to be a family. She/he believes she/he stabilizes and holds the family together. She/he accepts the blame, shame, responsibility for their own abuse and an inappropriate role within the family. Her/his needs are not being met; she/he is meeting the needs of everyone else at the expense of her/his own needs.

Tragically, many survivors believe they are the only one being abused. ‘I thought I was the only one. I thought if I let him abuse me he would not abuse my sister.’ This is rarely the case. Perpetrators usually abuse more than one child and frequently abuse several children during a given period.

Armed with this knowledge, it is imperative to teach children to protect themselves. Teaching children: (1) good body image, (2) respecting the child’s sacred body boundaries, thus avoiding leaving them vulnerable to perpetrators, (3) setting appropriate boundaries, (4) fostering their self-esteem, and (5) not keeping secrets for others, can prevent abuse or prevent the same person from repeating the abuse.
Self protection/prevention techniques can be taught in their simplest form beginning by age 2 or 2 ½. You can modify the teaching of each technique according to your child’s age. However, it is critical all concepts of self-protection are taught, practiced and reinforced continuously throughout childhood.

___9. Accept and practice the guidelines for ‘good, appropriate’ touch.
___10. Intercede when others violate your child’s physical boundaries or disregard likes or dislikes.
___11. Teach good body image. ‘Your body is private, special, beautiful and perfect.’

___14. If in doubt or you have the slightest suspicion your child might be a victim of sexual abuse, seek help from a professional specializing in sexual abuse recovery and Child Protective Services.
___15. Ask questions, which require ‘YES or NO’ answers until you are confident you understand what your child is telling you.
___16. Trust your child’s perceptions. Children are naturally intuitive and often sense an adult’s ulterior motives, although you may not suspect anything.
___17. Trust and act on your intuitiveness or sixth sense.
___18. If you err in evaluating the situation, make the error on the side of your child. The important factor is not that you have avoided offending potential abusers, but that you have protected your child’s interest.
‘It has been written: ‘Honor thy father and thy mother.’ It is essential to add, I think: ‘Respect the soul of your child! Think of the future generations!’ Tomas Masaryk, First President of Czechoslovakia, from Humanistic Ideals, 1901. See video: http://nospank.net/masaryk.html

Selecting an Online University

People who want higher education but who don’t live near a college or university offering courses they want used to be out of luck. No more. Now it is possible to study almost any subject online. It may require more self-discipline to pursue a degree this way. However, students at online universities can attend classes at their convenience, making it possible to earn a living at the same time as earning a degree.

What to look for

There are now many online universities. Some online degree programs are offered by traditional universities with campuses, while others only exist in cyberspace. Selecting the right school and being sure your degree will be recognized by potential employers is the first step. How can you tell whether a program is a real educational experience or a diploma mill? Here are some things to find out before signing up.

Look for a university with accreditation from a recognized accrediting organization. This is important because it means the school meets established standards of quality. Well-known universities like the University of Florida, Northwestern, Purdue and Notre Dame are examples of accredited institutions. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes universities accredited by one of the six accrediting bodies. Students who attend accredited universities are usually eligible for federal student loans and the course credits they earn generally transfer to other accredited institutions.

Picking a degree program

To determine if a degree program fits your professional and personal interests, review the curriculum and course descriptions in university web sites and course catalogs. Do they offer courses in subjects of interest to you?

To learn more about whether a program might be good for you, ask about the faculty’s industry experience and the scope and focus of their research. Do they have the appropriate advanced degrees for what they teach? Find out where the professors got their degrees. If all or most of them graduated from the same online university you are considering, this is a red flag, suggesting their academic credentials are weak. A real university will have teachers who have graduated from many different schools.

How students apply what they learn to their fields of expertise and to their communities are also strong indicators of a program’s value. Ask what employers, organizations and professional associations partner with or support the university. Talk to someone at the university and explain your educational goals and career plans. Whether you wish to advance your career, change careers, make a contribution to society or become more expert in your field, be sure the program you choose will get you there. One way to find out is to learn how the university’s alumni are doing. Alumni success or lack of it reflects the quality of a university and its programs. Ask for examples of how alumni are using the knowledge they gained in their professional and personal lives.

If the university accepts everyone who applies and can afford the cost, be suspicious. A real university will require each student to meet appropriate admissions requirements.

Online teaching is different

Make sure any online universities you are considering know how to deliver and support online courses and that you have the technology you need to take them. Do the faculty members know how to guide the classroom experience to ensure learning objectives are achieved? Are your computer and Internet connection up to the task? Assignments are typically posted online and discussions take place as threaded postings. Most online courses require students to log in and contribute to discussions a certain number of times each week. Many courses let you log in any time, anywhere as long as you meet the weekly course requirements.

What type of student support services are available? How responsive are instructors to student inquiries? What opportunities are there to interact with fellow students? This interaction enables students to gain knowledge and understanding from others with a wide variety of geographic, cultural and professional perspectives. The most effective courses, especially for adult learners with years of work experience, are those in which students gain the insights and perspectives of everyone in the class.

Can you afford it?

Though attending an online university allows you to live where you do currently so you won’t pay anything extra for living expenses while you study, there will be charges for books, tuition and fees. Find out what other expenses there will be, if any, to be sure you can afford your studies. Ask if financial aid is available, as some schools offer it to online learners.

Note that tuition and fees at online universities are often higher than what is charged at their campus-based counterparts. However, these schools offer personalized support and a convenient and flexible format geared for the adult learner. If a university’s tuition and fees are significantly less expensive than other online schools, double check on its accreditation to be sure it is legitimate.

Teach Fido to Shake Paws

Filed under: Pets — Louise Louis @ 2:42 pm

He’ll find it fun to learn and it’ll help stretch his brainpower. Most dogs
learn this one quickly.

1. Get a treat that’s small enough to hold in your hand but keep hidden
from him when you close your finders.

2. Place your dog in a sit position on a non-slippery surface.

3. Gently tap one his paws with your free hand. Keep tapping it until he lifts
his paw off the ground.

4. As soon as this happens, support his paw in your hand and say “shake.”
Then give him the treat and coo praise at him.

5. Repeat this process four or five times and then stop before either of you
get tired.

6. Do this exercise a couple times a day for a few days before you expect company.

7. You can stop the teaching once your dog lifts his paw to you when you say “Shake.”

8. If you want to teach to shake the other paw, use the same process but with a
different verbal command. Use “paw” or some other word.

A Brief History of Hip Hop Fashion

Hip hop clothes have become more and more popular, representing a fashion which is making a statement. As any other fashion trend, hip hop clothes have changed over the years and they have been adopted all over the world.

Hip hop clothes have been firstly worn by big hip hop stars like Run-DMC and LL Cool J in the 1980s. They were wearing big glasses, many rings, sneakers with ‘phat’ shoelaces. Big, gold necklaces and jewellery were also worn by other hip hop stars like Big Daddy Kane or Kurtis Blow. The haircut was another symbol of the hip hop trend: some singers were having Jheri curls; others had hi-top fade. But the Black Pride movement was the most powerful trend of the hip hop culture in the ‘80s. It was symbolized by dreadlocks, Africa chains and black-green-and-red hip hop clothes.

In the 1990s the hip hop music changed, therefore the hip hop clothes suffered some changes too. Some singers (The Fresh Prince or Left Eye of TLC) were wearing bright coloured clothes and baseball caps. Other hip hop clothes were inspired from the dress code of street gangs and even prison uniforms. The prison inmates’ ‘fashion’ of not using a belt (the belt always being confiscated by the wardens whenever a new prisoner was brought in) has inspired the wearing of baggy pants with no belt. Some regions of the USA have contributed with some special symbols to the hip hop fashion. New York preferred hooded clothes and Timberland boots while the West Coast liked big flannel shirts and Converse sneakers. The South brought in gold teeth fashion.

The mid-90s brought in another trend, the mafioso fashion, represented by hats and alligator skin shoes worn mostly by hip hop stars like Jay-Z or the Notorious B.I.G.

The new rising stars at the end of the 1990s – Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs came with new symbols as shiny, flashy suits and platinum jewellery to replace the gold one. Combs saw the business opportunity of selling hip hop clothes; therefore he started his own clothing line. Other clothing companies as FUBU or Karl Kani earned millions of dollars from selling hip hop clothes.

But the hip hop fashion started to become distinctive for female singers. Lil Kim and Foxy Brown were famous for their shiny, couture appearances while other singers like Lauryn Hill or Eve were known for a more low-profile clothing style.

But jewellery remained the most distinctive symbol of the hip hop fashion. Hip hop singers wore platinum necklaces or rings with big embedded diamonds. Some of them even had platinum teeth.

Nowadays, hip hop clothes have turned into extremely famous clothing labels. Many hip hop singers have their own clothing lines like Jay-Z’s Roc-a-wear or Russell Simmons’ Phat Farm.

The hip hop clothes have changed from the street style to the more glamorous style of the stars.
