Make A Dazzling Home On Earth Through Secured Home Equity Loan

Filed under: Finance, Loans — Peter Taylor @ 11:39 pm

Are you planning to buy furniture or renovating your home premises? If scarcity of money is not letting you turn your home into the most stunning one, do not be depressed. Home equity loan is there to help you create your dream house.

Secured home equity loan is offered to homeowners who are passionate enough to build their dream house. It helps you to make changes in your home, add new premises, construct a study room for your children, attach a new bathroom etc.
The loan is secured against your home. This reduces the financial risk of the lenders, so they voluntarily charge low interest rates.

There are two types of secured home equity loan namely, the traditional home equity loan and the home equity line of credit.

The traditional home equity loan is also known as the second mortgage. This loan provides a fixed amount of money to the people who have purchased a new home. The repayment period is also a fixed one.

The second kind of secured home equity loan involves a line of credit. The borrower possessing a home is entitled to a credit limit. He can use this sum partially or fully. It facilitates the homeowners to use the loan amount for various purposes.

The amount that one can borrow from a secured home equity loan depends on the assessed value of your home, the balance of the principal mortgage and the total amount of equity stored in the home. Your present financial condition and credit score also play a significant role in deciding the loan amount.

Secured home equity loan benefits the borrower in an array of ways-

oEasy loan approval
oLow interest rate
oFlexible repayment schedules
oAvailable to people with a bad credit

An important feature of secured home equity loan is the rate of interest that is charged on the loan is tax deductible. For example if you have credit card debt, and you transfer it to a secured home equity loan, you will get tax free interest rate which is not present as in the case of a credit card debt. Hence you can save yourself a lot of money. Seeking the advice of a financial advisor can be helpful in obtaining tax savings.

Deciding on the right lender is important while opting for a secured home equity loan. Shop around to choose an appropriate lender. Explore the internet and collect free no-obligation loan quotes from various online loan providing organizations. By filling the online loan application form and submitting it, the loan lender will understand your requirements and prepare a loan deal synchronizing with your needs.

Make use of your home equity and avail financial assistance. Build the most beautiful home on the planet.

How To Take Fast Action Shots In Low Light

Filed under: Arts-and-Entertainment, Photography — Amy Renfrey @ 10:30 pm

You know recently I have been getting a few requests to please help with fast action shots indoors. I remember when I too was frustrated with not being able to get a response from professional photographers about this situation. They were always so elusive with how they conducted themselves out on the field and what they did to get a certain effect.

So now I’m going to tell you about how to master this. Do you want the good news or the bad news first?

Okay good news is that yes it is possible. Bad news is that you do need a good camera with manual controls to do it. Now since you have already bought the ebook I am assuming that you have either a point and shoot camera or an SLR. Either way, it’s better than a cheap camera that does nothing.

The secret is this: the reason fast action shots look blurry is normally because they are taken in level of low light, such as an indoor basketball stadium for example. What happens is the camera, if left on auto, automatically adjusts itself to low light levels, which means a slower shutter speed. A slower shutter speed occurs the camera needs time to get in as much light as possible due to this low level of light. It’s great from the cameras point of view, but really, it’s annoying and disappointing.

So what can be done about it?

Well firstly, increase that shutter speed. You may notice an increase in digital noise but it will only be slight so don’t worry about it. After all it’s probably worth it for that ‘golden’ photo you are trying to get.

It’s going to be hard getting more light into the camera, because usually you’ll be too far away for the flash to work appropriately anyway. This is why your shutter is the first consideration.

Something that might help further is this: Shot 1- take the shutter at a certain speed, shot 2- increase the shutter speed one notch, shot 3 then increase it again, and so on and so forth. If you have the patience and inclination, write down on a note pad exactly what shutter speed shot 1 was at, what shot 2 was at, etc. Then when you view the images on your computer later that night you will have the settings writing down so you know what shutter speed worked the best. Then you can apply that to other situations too.

So relax and work with what you’ve got. Increase the shutter speed or increase the light.

Best,
Amy Renfrey

Details Of The Orchard Bank Secured Credit Card Application

Filed under: Credit, Finance — Joshua Shapiro @ 9:45 pm

When someone has a limited or a rather poor credit history, they may want to look into the Orchard Bank Secured Credit Card. Offered through HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A. this MasterCard is just what those who are looking to restore and re-establish their credit could use.

The annual fee of the Orchard Bank Secured Credit Card is quite reasonable at $35. The variable APR of 15.90% is an average rate for such a card. The variable APR on cash advances, however, jumps significantly to 23.40%! The finance charges are applied to any purchases that are not paid for within the first 25 days, and there are charges for other services like cash advances. The maximum deposit allowed on the Orchard Bank Secured Credit Card is $15,000, and the minimum deposit is $200. Late payment and over the limit fees are $29 each time they occur.

One thing to note when you are looking at the Orchard Back Secured Credit Card: minimum caps do apply to the APRs for both purchases and cash advances. No matter what the Prime Rate is, even if it falls to low levels, the APR on this card will not go below the minimum rate.

There are perks to the Orchard Bank Secured Credit Card that you won’t always find on cards of this type, though. The card provides cardholders with services and benefits like online account access, emergency card replacement, and other various fraud protection services. You also do not have to pay an application fee when you apply for this MasterCard.

How To Avoid This Number One Mistake Others Have With Travel Photography

Filed under: Arts-and-Entertainment, Photography — Amy Renfrey @ 8:58 pm

I spoke not long ago about travel photography. I’d like to discuss a particular problem with travel photography, and it’s not with the camera, it’s with us.

One thing that you might notice whilst travelling is the lighting differences between the place you are visiting and home. Your digital camera ‘light settings’ will still be set to where you came from, not where you are when you are travelling to.

Last year I went London on business and while I was there I discovered something very important. I had my trusty Sony set to an E/V of 1.0+. This really means, in English, that I had the eye of the camera adjusted to reduce some light because light here in Australia is so bright. I realised what a bright environment we live in down under when I went overseas. In a nutshell I had my camera set to ‘Australian light settings’, not ‘UK light settings.’ It’s not really called a ‘light setting’, but I’ll use that term for the purpose of simplicity.

When I got to London I looked at the viewfinder and everything looked really dark. I was confused at first but had a suspicion. So I took a few test shots to try out my feeling about what was happening. I was right I had the camera on the wrong setting for London light. My first test shots I focused the camera at the brightest part of the object I was taking and took the shot. As a result my pictures came out either too bright or too dark.

I then took the E/V up to 1.7+ and got the right shots. I got the right shots because I adjusted the amount of light that was coming into the camera. And to me, coming from such a bright place and going to London to me, seemed a darker place generally. Not bright, glary light like Melbourne. However this light is fantastic for digital photography if you have filtered light like this. In Australia we are constantly ranting ‘the polariser! the polariser!’ But in London, at times, I could get away with not having it on the camera at all.

So please remember the first thing you do with that digital when you are travelling is to look at what you have the camera set to accept new lighting conditions. You may need to adjust the aperture if you are going from one continent and one season to another. Each season has a different light and varies from country to country.

Have a great day.

How to Find Great Books to Sell Online

I remember the challenge of selling books online when I started out while still a student in college. The first few times I visited a thrift store, I had no idea what to look for or how to begin. At that time, I simply applied as much of my general knowledge of books as possible.

Here were a few easy rules I did follow:

1) Avoid virtually *all* mass market paperback books. (These typically only sell for pennies… literally).

2) Accept books in good to excellent condition only!

3) Search for obscure titles, especially nonfiction (for example, a text on Agroecology).

With these rules, I could typically sell about 50-65% of the books I purchased.

All of that changed when I moved to ScoutPal. The change in my business finances was dramatic. Now, I could insure that a book would sell just by checking its ISBN through my cell phone. No more guess work. My ‘picking rate’ increased to over 90%. Not only was I making more money and spending less, I now had much better control over my inventory purchases.

ScoutPal simplifies the process for online booksellers, while enhancing the bottom-line. If you have not had the chance to check out their website, do so today at www.scoutpal.com - you’ll be glad you did!

We all Want to be the Perfect Parent

Filed under: Home-and-Family, Parenting — Nick Young @ 6:01 pm

Then of course, baby comes and grows into a toddler and then a teenager and it has all gone wrong. It has been a nightmare from day one. Your relationship has been wrecked because there was never any time for it. You were always full time trying to control those kids and just get through each day alive and still sane.

Who can satisfy the needs of a partner with all that pressure every day. There is no hope of having a fulfilling love life when one gets to bed totally exhausted after a day of chasing wild kids around. And so as our kids get older and more uncontrollable our relationship disintegrates into complete chaos.

No need for all this hassle. You can still be the best parent on the block if you want to be. Mind you it will take a little work but you will find it will be less work than you are doing now and you will be much, much happier and your family will be pulling together again.

Depending how far along you are in your parenting it will be easy to turn it all around. If you read the previous article on baby’s first day home you will have found the foundation for happy parenting. Let your baby adjust to your lifestyle and not the other way round. Same goes for toddlers. You have already started the good work and developed that relationship with your kids so just carry it on.

Your youngster is old enough now to understand right from wrong but will always choose wrong. Why is that. It can be explained but is a whole article on it’s own.

There is only one rule now that you have to follow. See, it is going to be easy after all. That rule is, ‘always do what you say’. That is it. Nothing more, nothing less. Sound to good to be true. Remember, your youngster is very smart and will soon see through you if you are not sincere in any way. How many times do you see in the supermarket a mother telling her youngster to stop that or they will get a smack. They rarely ever get that smack and only the threat and they know it so will take no notice at all. You as a parent have no credibility with your child. How does that make you feel.

So if you follow the rule and if you say it do it you will gain respect from your youngster. It will mean work because you will have to get up and go do what you said you would but you have to do it every time. Your youngster will soon realize that you mean what you say and will respect you for it. When your youngster respects you then you can build your relationship with him based on that respect. You are the parent and he must realize his place in the family. he will push at the boundaries of that family place but if you are strong and maintain that respect he will develop well. Because you see, if your child has no boundary to push against, then he is like a ship with no rudder lost in a mighty ocean. He can never grow to proper maturity without his boundaries set and that respect he has for you as his parent. He deserves the best parent. You can be the best parent. Try it and you will see how things will change. Catch you..Nick

Skin Treatment - Methods To Remove Scars

Filed under: Beauty, Health-and-Fitness — CD Mohatta @ 5:33 pm

Scars are a problem for all the people who wish to look young and smart. A scarred face always troubles us and affects our psychology. Talk to people affected by acne scars all over their face and you will realize the impact of scars on the self-esteem and confidence.

Skin treatment for scars may follow many procedures. That will depend on the age of the person, the location of the scar and the nature of the scar. If the scar is superficial, it can be treated with microdermabrasion or medium chemical peel, while a deeper scar will need more intensive treatments such as laser resurfacing or deep chemical peel. It is interesting to note that all of us have different scar forming tendency. Some of us form deeper scars compared to others who form mild scars for similar injury.

If the scar mixes with wrinkles it is less of a problem. But if it shows prominently on the cheek, one has to get it treated. Many methods are available for resurfacing the skin. All methods produce different results. The costs will be different and so will be the postoperative time of recovery. You have to therefore talk to your doctor about your scars and the treatment. Chemical peeling, dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing, surgical excision, are few of the techniques that are used to treat scars. You need not suffer scars. Consult your doctor and get treated.

My God, My God, Where Are You?

Filed under: News-and-Society, Religion — Patricia Nordman @ 4:10 pm

‘Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it’ (Genesis 28:16).

How easy it is to forget that God is in this place, right where we are, especially if we are discontented where we are. The Almighty God can be found in the most illogical places. Why not, for He is omnipresent. When we least feel His presence, that is when He is most likely to be with us. Even Jesus thought His Father had deserted Him and cried out, ‘My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?’ (Mark 15:34, Psalm 22:1). The Son was eclipsed by the overwhelming evil, only to shine brightest after earth’s darkest hour!

Who has not exclaimed, ‘My God, My God, where are you?’ in the anguish of a dark hour of loss and hopelessness? But it was at that very agonizing moment that Jesus fulfilled His mission and, in our least likely and most hurting moments, we may be crying out to our Father who is already there and is covering our ruptured hearts with His healing promise of wholeness once again. O! let us claim and believe in our most doubting moments His greatness and His love and, above all, His presence.

As we look back over the critical junctures of our lives, we see that it was then that our priorities were rearranged and the results, we hope, became God’s will for us. But we can hardly be expected to appreciate the fire that is burning off the dross or the dent in our shoulder from struggling with our cross until we see the finished product. But, as we review our life, we realize that the heavier part of the cross was carried by Jesus and our burden was and is made lighter because of His love.

Yes, the Lord is in this place of anger turned to kindness, pride turned to humility, bitterness turned to gentleness, gossip turned to intercession, doubt turned to trust, ingratitude turned to acknowledgment, and malice turned to love. May we practice the presence of our God who loves and cares, no matter where we are and no matter what the overwhelming circumstances are, for they can never overwhelm our God.

Where’s the Outrage - July 2005

Filed under: News-and-Society, Politics — Errington Thompson @ 3:30 pm

Sandra Day O’Connor’s announcement of her retirement came as a shock to me, as it did to many Americans. Chief Justice Rehnquist has thyroid cancer and was widely expected to retire; but, late last week, the Nixon appointee revealed in a statement that he plans to stay on the bench. Because the Supreme Court’s decisions impact our lives in monumental ways, the nature of the wisdom and experience of the next Supreme Court justice should be of monumental importance to all of us. The stakes could not be higher for conservatives, liberals, and independents: abortion, separation of church and state, affirmative action, gay rights, the death penalty, mandatory sentences, states’ rights, and end-of-life issues are all on the line. Unfortunately, no matter how the confirmation of President Bush’s nominee to the Supreme Court bench turns out, we will not know if that decision is correct for another two to five years, that is, until the new Supreme Court justice proves him- or herself. O’Connor, for example, a Reagan appointee, turned out to be far more of a pragmatist than a conservative.

The President has nominated John Roberts to replace Justice O’Connor. Who? He was the fellow at the bottom of everyone’s list. If you look at The New York Times’, Washington Post’s, or CNN’s lists of potential nominees, John Roberts was ninth or tenth. He is one of those powerful inside lawyers who stay out of the spotlight. We do know some things about him: he is a highly qualified trial lawyer; he is a Washington insider; he is admired by both Democrats and Republicans. However, because Roberts has only been on the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals for the last two years, he simply does not have enough decisions under his belt for anyone to know much about him. Yet, in all likelihood, he will be confirmed as the next Supreme Court Justice.

The Bush administration misread what the 2004 election should have told them about the President’s holdings in the area of political capital; as a result, they made some mistakes earlier in the year. They started a major push on Social Security reform, for example, but the American people were not interested (though they should have been). The nomination of Judge John Roberts might turn out to be the first “perfect” step of Bush’s second term. Because of Roberts’ short record, few of those who can influence his nomination know enough about him to make an informed decision. His stand on the hot button issues–abortion, affirmative action, and school prayer–are not clear. This much we know: he loves the Constitution and the legal process. Will he turn out to be a conservative, such as Justice Rehnquist, or a moderate, such as Justice Souter, who was appointed by President Bush’s father in 1990? Only time will tell.

Al Qaeda. It appears that once again Al Qaeda has raised its ugly head. Four separate bombs went off in London earlier this month while the G-8 summit was underway in Scotland. The reaction from the leaders at the summit was measured and predictable. Prime Minister Tony Blair – “barbaric.” German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder – “cowardly terrorist attacks.” French President Jacques Chirac – “cowards.” President George Bush – “And the contrast couldn’t be clearer between the intentions and the hearts of those of us who care deeply about human rights and human liberty, and those who kill, those who’ve got such evil in their heart that they will take the lives of innocent folks.”

Now we learn that four more bombs were set to go off in London last week but failed. The four terrorists involved in the first attack were suicide bombers and died in that debacle, along with close to fifty innocent souls. The men responsible for the second series of bombs have just been arrested; their political affiliations are being investigated. Although the British government has not formally accused Al Qaeda of this latest almost-attack, evidence strongly points to them or some type of copy-cat. The evidence also tells us that over the last three years Al Qaeda has transformed itself from a centralized terrorist organization with a few satellites into a decentralized organization with both active and sleeper cells in almost every continent.

Late in the year 2001, after the September 11 attacks, the United States determined that the Taliban of Afghanistan were providing cover for the Al Qaeda masterminds of our New York City disaster. Hence, the invasion of Afghanistan. Our war in that far off country was not the all-out war that was waged there two decades earlier by the Soviets. Instead, we used local tribal leaders and the Northern Alliance, the resistance movement that believed in a milder form of Islam previously ousted by the Taliban, to do the heavy fighting for us. We sent in advisers and a small group of Special Forces to support the Northern Alliance. We gave the Northern Alliance money and weapons. We supported them with our mighty air power. The plan worked slowly at first, but soon gained momentum. The Taliban were pushed back into the capital city of Kabul. With Kabul partially surrounded, the leadership of the Taliban and Al Qaeda were trapped. Pausing to regroup after their victory, The Northern Alliance inadvertently gave Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, the time they needed to escape east into the Tora Bora Mountains. The Tora Bora Mountains should have rung a bell in the American generals’ ears. Several years earlier, the intelligence community had pinpointed Tora Bora as an excellent place for Al Qaeda to hide weapons and materials. It is likely that the terrorists’ arrival in that region after Kabul was less of a retreat and more of a homecoming. Rumors abound about how, exactly, the United States and the Northern Alliance let bin Laden and the Taliban leader slip through our hands. But finger-pointing about the past is pointless. The battle for Kabul appears to have been a hallow victory, for Bin Laden and his gang of terrorists not only found a back door out of the Tora Bora Mountains–Pakistan—but have gone deeper underground and used the time since 9/11 to re-organize, regroup, and multiply their numbers and plans. When we lost bin Laden to the Tora Bora, the West missed its first—and perhaps its only–opportunity to crush Al Qaeda with relative ease.

Since the Battle of Kabul, bin Laden and his lieutenants have released several videotapes stating in a nutshell, that he is not dead and urging sympathizers to go out and do the things that bin Laden taught them. In September 2004, Bin Laden lieutenant Zawahiri released a tape threatening countries who had contributed troops to the war in Iraq. On the tape, he encouraged Al Qaeda followers around the world to start an offensive and fomented support for the movement by suggesting that the American, English, French, Jewish, Hungarian, Polish, and South Korean forces at war in Iraq would soon invade Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, and Algeria.

According to the State Department 655 terrorist attacks occurred worldwide last year (Susan B. Glasser, Washington Post, April 27, 2005). This is a fivefold increase from the year 2003. Some have suggested that we have awakened a sleeping giant—Muslim hatred of what they perceive as an arrogant and serious threat to their existence–and that is the reason for the spike in terrorist attacks. Others say that we simply haven’t been aggressive enough against an inevitable terrorist insurgency. All I know is that I do not feel safe when trains are blowing up in Madrid and London.

We are all familiar with the President’s rationale for the Iraq war: by taking the battle against terrorism to the East, we are keeping it out of the West. The numbers reported above pretty well trump Bush’s “we’re safer” argument. True, there have been no terrorist attacks on US soil in almost four years. But there were no terrorists attacks on the US from 1992 until 2001. Does this data mean that Bill Clinton had terrorists in a headlock? I doubt it.

Thankfully, some things are going better in the war on terrorism. The Muslim community in the US has reached out to the government as patriots. They have stood up and said that violence against civilians is wrong. An ex-CIA officer, Marc Sageman explained on a recent PBS Frontline program that “The neglected part of [the story of the US war on terrorism] since 9/11 is the almost heroic conduct of the American Muslim community,” (Frontline, “Al Qaeda’s New Front”) Sageman contends that despite the fact that American Muslims have been unfairly discriminated against since 9/11, they have never stopped being patriotic Americans. He argues that the reason we haven’t had any successful terrorist attacks in the US in the past few years is because peace-loving Muslims have been very cooperative with the FBI and law enforcement “to try to root out this virulent distortion of Islam which is propagated by Salafi [an extreme Islamic sect (for more information - www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/front/special/sala.html)] terrorists.”

Finally, I do not think that it is enough for us to say that Al Qaeda hates freedom and that is why they have made war upon the West. Al Qaeda is—among other things– a gang such as the Crips or the Bloods. We can learn from this comparison. In the late 1980s and early 1990s gang violence ripped through our cities. Gangs such as the Crips and the Bloods were filled with disaffected youth who had nothing to lose and were going nowhere. As the U.S. economy improved, however, gang violence decreased. Gang membership fell as opportunities increased. Think about this: Al Qaeda is a gang with a religious twist. Young Muslims who live in ghettos are shown videos on how decadent and rich America and Europe are. They are told that six hundred years ago the Muslim caliphate ruled the world. They controlled southern Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. Muslims brought written language and culture to Europe. Disaffected Muslim youth are told they can bring about Islamic greatness again by being more religious and more intolerant. Al Qaeda extremists then emphasize to those they would like to impress into service that tolerance has brought them to the ghettos. Tolerance has made it possible for Jews to live on Muslim land in Palestine. Impressionable young Al Qaeda gang converts are told they need not work for the rewards of today—to get a life, a job, a family–but to aspire for the rewards of tomorrow—in Paradise for them with many virgins—and on earth with a return of the Caliphate. They are told they must re-claim their Muslim heritage and fight Jews and Christians. They must reject the words of the great Satan — the United States.

The arguments are part of the classic us-versus-them mentality. Al Qaeda 2.0. There is no central command. The objective is to bring the Western world to its knees. To re-create the caliphate of the 14th century. The marching orders have been given.

In my view, it is not enough for the West to hunt terrorists down and kill them. That is important, but it can only be half of the battle. We have to combat the ideology. Ideas cannot be conquered by bullets. Arresting radical clerics only stirs the pot of hatred. We must give young Muslims an opportunity to share in the benefits of Western Society.

Many of the young European Muslims who are becoming terrorists today come from the terrible conditions of Northern Africa. Their families migrated into Spain and Italy, or they settled in major cities such as Madrid, London, and Hamburg. This migration is similar in many ways to how Blacks in the U.S. migrated out of the South to northern cities like Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago in the first portion of the 20th century. The Muslims migrants settle in low income housing. They live in isolated communities. They do not speak the language of their new place of residence. They have no-wage or low-wage jobs. They have come for a piece of the pie of Western success, but they find their plates perennially empty. This is not what they dreamed of when they moved. Their living conditions are not much better than the conditions they left in Africa. The seeds of hate are sowed in these ghettos, and they take root.

No man wants to feel that he cannot provide for his family. Most men want to feel that they belong, that they contribute to society. Whether it is Al Qaeda or the Crips or the Bloods, the problem is the same. These immigrant communities must be incorporated into mainstream society. They need to be trained in the language and the culture of the lands in which they now reside. They must have educational opportunities. They must be included in the prosperity and in the social groups of the West. Above all, they need good jobs. By facilitating advances and improvements such as these in the lives of these displaced Muslim we are more likely to win supporters away from Al Qaeda than we are by fighting them with guns and bombs.

Recent news:

The President’s brain, Karl Rove, seems to be in a bit of trouble. It appears that he has spoken to Robert Novak about a CIA agent. It also appears that he told FBI agents that he knew nothing about the White House leak. The first issue may or may not be a crime. Lying to law enforcement is a crime. No question. I am sure that this story has many more twists and turns. The question that I have is this: will President Bush stick to his original bold statement about firing anyone who was involved in outing Valerie Plame?

3400?!?!? According to the FAA, that is how many intrusions there have been into restricted air space, since 9/11. Let’s suppose that only one out of every hundred flights were al Qaeda testing our defenses. . . . Let’s not. The thought is way too scary. It appears that the FAA has a lot of work to do making sure that restricted airspace is exactly that–restricted.

The family of Supreme Court nominee John Roberts held a press conference. They stated that the press was inundating their homes with requests for interviews. So, they held a press conference to state that Judge John Roberts was the story and that they were very proud of him. Period. To the press, I say stick to the story. To the Roberts family I say good for you. Hopefully, we will not be seeing them on some sort of celebrity reality show.

Preventive Medicine

When I come across people with several medical conditions, I feel sorry that these people were not aware of what they could do to help themselves avoid such a situation in the first place. Sometimes there’s a complex combination of conditions that one condition, as long as it is unresolved or unresponsive to treatment, prevents another serious condition from being addressed. This is because the life of the patient can be endangered if an attempt is made to resolve the second condition while the first is still unresolved. It really puts the patient and the doctor in a fix.

There is much that we can do to prevent or reverse negative conditions before they become too serious or cause too much harm all over the body. It is all a matter of responsibility. If we believe that our health is in our hands, we will do all that’s necessary to first gather information and then apply what is most appropriate, within our means and safely, for our conditions.

The general public, however, assumes that they will remain healthy without putting any special effort. And if they get sick, they expect the medical doctor to offer some miraculous pill that will solve all their health problems. As we mature and learn of friends and relatives being struck with serious illnesses and dying earlier than they otherwise would, we know that this is not true all the time.

So you are healthy right now and do not have any medical problems - do you really need to do anything?
Yes, given that we live in a world that is rather polluted not just in the air that we breathe but also through the food and drink that we consume, in addition to the stresses that we endure, it is a matter of time that a medical condition would appear. It is in everybody’s best interest to learn as much as they can to preserve their current health.

In my opinion Preventive Medicine is a better insurance than any that the Insurance company can offer. Even though it may not be possible to be 100% covered in terms of disease prevention - we still have a much higher chance of remaining healthy for a much longer period if we take responsibility for our health. We still have to leave this world one day, but at least while we can, we should live as healthily as possible so that we can carry out our responsibilities effectively and hopefully make a positive difference while we are here.

There are loads of information at the libraries, bookstores and the Internet - many freely available if we’ll take the time to explore. Even if you are not as enthusiastic as yours truly in the subject of Natural Health maintenance, at least study those medical conditions that have been encountered by family members. Knowing what causes these conditions and knowing how to prevent it can avert its happening to you. That’s a lot of savings in terms of time, money, peace of mind, self-esteem and of course, health.

For those who are beset with a medical condition, set your mind to find a solution. Of course, in the meanwhile you would have to resort to Conventional Medicine - at the very least the drugs help maintain the condition from getting worse and creating more serious consequences, while you search for a safe but effective alternative. There are so many researches going on, such that if the answer is not found yet, it’s bound to be known sometime in the future. Just keep researching.

At the same time, study and apply all that you can learn about Preventive Medicine. In the process itself, you may find that your medical condition actually begins to reverse. And what you’d be doing is mostly a change in the types and quality of food you consume, including exercise in your daily routine, and taking time out to de-stress yourself. Actually simple stuff in exchange for a better quality of life!
