What is it about water vacations that fascinate people so much? Perhaps it’s the feeling of openness and connection with nature. Then again, it could be the sounds of playful laughter of families having fun in the sun. Maybe it’s the tranquil surroundings of a secluded fishing trip on a lonely lake, or it could simply be the excitable and care-free splashing around and frolicsome behavior that can only be had around water? Who know, and who really cares to analyze it! Whatever it is, it seems that water holds an enchanting grasp on holiday makers the world over and that includes me and my family.
We’ve had some of the most wonderful vacations around the most beautiful lakes over the years, and the lake rentals of today really are equipped to make any stay a memorable and joyful occasion.
More than ever before, families, groups of friends, and happy couples are all choosing to take a vacation where there is water. Lake rentals, in particular, seem to be the new beach. Maybe this is because most of the more popular coastlines are becoming so overcrowded these days, therefore it’s all the more harder to relax, and relaxation and de-stressing is what a holiday is all about ? right?
Additionally, lake rentals offer more than just a place to stay around a huge pond. Lakes themselves have a whole range of water activities to pursue, from swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, and hiking in the surrounding areas. What’s great about lake rentals is that there are places to suit all budgets depending on what type of get-away you’re looking for. Personally, we have always found lake rentals a very affordable and relaxing choice to hotels and up market guest houses.
What we really like about lake rentals in particular, is the option to rent a whole house if you so wish. We did this last year and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. After just a couple of days of adjustment, it was like we had moved out of the big city into a dream home of our own, amid the most amazing setting on the planet. It actually felt quite surreal. From the soft light and early morning mists rolling over the water, and the long shadows which come with sunrise, to the shady protection of the mid day sun, just whow! We had an ever-changing and picturesque front seat view of this fascinating landscape. And sun sets, well I don’t have the writing skills to express how awesome and colorful these magical moments were.
I can honestly say with hand on heart that lake rentals have proved to be the best family vacations we’ve ever had. Sure, we’ve done the Disney thing, and a few enjoyable trips to the coast, but as a family, there has never been any vacation which unites us and provides us with so much fun and activity, along with peace and tranquility, as the lakes and lake rental accommodations found around the beautiful lakes of North America.
Maybe the lake rentals have not been on your shortlist of holiday hopefuls, but I would urge anyone to try it at least once. You could start with a long weekend break, just to test the water so to speak. I think anyone who has tried a vacation around a lake will say that it was more fun than they could have ever imagined possible. And remember, lake rentals can actually be an affordable and relaxing alternative to renting rooms in hotels and motels, but that’s just an added bonus.

Cocoa Beach has been on your vacation ?to-do? list for years, and the time has come to fulfill your duty to visit this temperate, lovely, and possibility-filled destination. Procrastinate no longer, and prepare to realize what you?ve been missing. It?ll feel good to get this responsibility off your chest, especially if you choose to milk this opportunity for all its worth by electing to stay in a vacation rental. Not that you should need further encouragement, but Cocoa Beach is waiting to show you what makes it one of the hottest getaway spots in Florida.
A unique combination of factors makes this barrier island somewhat magnetic in its appeal. Not only is it known for white sandy beaches and emerald waters, which are enough to attract most vacationers, but it is blessed with unearthly sights like space launches and endangered turtle nesting spots. From your perch on your vacation rental porch, don?t be surprised to see the waves rhythmically crashing on the shore as well as a show of one of man?s greatest designs; the space shuttles making their departure from the earth from Cape Canaveral, which exists just to the north.
When you?re not witnessing such amazing sights in the sky, you?ll be seeing them everywhere else. The temperature zones and geographic situation make this region interesting in terms of the species it attracts and the landscapes available for exploration. As mentioned before, sea turtles find this an excellent place to lay their precious eggs, and there?s a certain protocol to follow in order to respect their privacy and nightly comings and goings. You?ll get the hang of it once you?re here, so just keep your eyes open.
So whether you?re focusing on the Atlantic or in the lagoon on the other side of the island, Cocoa Beach has plenty to keep you busy. Swimming, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, and fishing will entice you to immerse yourself in the warm sea, while tennis, golf, antiquing, dining, and bicycling will acquaint you with the charms of dry land. It?s all here for you to see and do, so prepare for a whirlwind tour of holiday heaven. You?ll feel especially relaxed and happy as you go about your daily activities knowing that you have a wonderful place to stay.
Your vacation rental will indeed add a little something to your trip. Previously, plain-jane hotel rooms have served their purpose but left a little something to be desired. This time around, your special digs will accentuate the positives and please everyone in your traveling group. Plenty of room, light, and extra amenities will make spending time at ?home? no big deal, so you won?t feel like a constant wanderer figuring out ways to avoid going back to your regular old room.
Imagine a Cocoa Beach vacation rental that faces the harbor, where you?ll see cruise ships make their way to shore and boaters of all kinds coming back to the mainland. These sights are especially eye-catching at night, so sit back with a cocktail and let the movement of the vessels lull you into a state of repose. The heated pool will also make a great evening activity, especially for the kids, who somehow never tire of being immersed in water of any kind.
Your rental property, in all its beach-themed glory, also has a wonderfully easy-to-navigate kitchen that will make snacks and meals appear like magic. Save a few bucks by eating in instead of out, once in a while anyway, and you?ll feel that renting a house was worth it right there. Having an entertainment center, internet access, shelves of books and games, and grill on the patio will also bring a smile to your face as you realize that you?ll be hearing no mention of boredom this entire trip. Everything seems to be falling into place for a memorable vacation.

For your next weeklong getaway, make your way to Key West, Florida so you can soak up the sun on some of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the Keys. This island, located at the southernmost tip of the Florida Keys, offers more than most people imagine in the way of water and cultural activities, meaning there will never be a dull moment during your relaxing and enjoyable trip. Make Key West your home base for a Florida Keys excursion and experience the fun and excitement that simply oozes from this little piece of paradise.
Every Key West vacation is bound to be filled with a few essential ingredients such as plenty of shimmering sand, an abundance of watersports and sand activities, and numerous hours near the warm turquoise waters. Since most of the trip will certainly be spent in and around the waters surrounding this small island, then staying near the water is the best way to participate in every activity you have planned.
You can find Key West vacation rentals scattered throughout the island, but most individuals want to take advantage of the stunning water that appears almost too colorful and vibrant to be real. Ocean view vacation homes are not a rarity on Key West and are a great option for those who want to kick back and escape from the stresses of the world they left behind. Simply wander out to your balcony at your own leisure and soak in the calming sights and sounds of the waves rolling ashore as you take joy in the simple pleasures that surround you.
While having an unimpeded view of the water typically means you are fairly close to the sand and surf, staying directly on the beach makes it infinitely easier to enjoy the best of what Key West has to offer. Whether you want to spend the day out on the water on a jet ski or cozy up on a beach chair with your favorite book, everything you need to realize the perfect day is just a few steps away from your vacation home. Forget about packing every possible supply for the day before you leave and carrying it all a few blocks before hitting the sand. You can make frequent trips to your accommodations if need be since all your vacation supplies are just a few steps from your perch on the beach.
Staying near the water means you are going to come across numerous other beachcombers and tourists throughout the day as they walk past your vacation home. If you are looking for a more secluded option, then consider a rental that is ideally situated on the Key West Golf Course. The warm green hues surround you and invite you to relax on the comfortable back deck so you can listen to the gentle song of the birds flying around this tropical oasis. Leave the noise of the beach behind and retreat to this cozy home for an evening of peaceful serenity.
If you prefer the middle between these two extremes, then a private home that is located only one block from the beach can most likely meet your needs. While the ocean is only a short walk away, you can stroll out to the backyard for a private water experience as you dive into a large swimming pool complete with a trickling waterfall. Around the pool is a garden oasis complete with lush foliage, bright red bougainvillea vines, and towering palm trees that add to the tropical feel of the island.
Whether you are searching for a beachfront home, a secluded condo, or a tropical villa, there are numerous ideally located Key West vacation rentals that have all the amenities you need for a memorable trip. Begin your search for a vacation home today and experience Key West in accommodations that allow you to realize the vacation of your dreams.

What?s that you say? You love Dania, but you much prefer the Swedish to the Danish? Then you?re in luck, because Hallandale is right down the road. In the late 1800s, Henry Flagler enlisted the help of Luther Halland to create a community of statuesque, square-headed blondes in Southern Florida, just south of the first community of statuesque, square-headed blondes, Dania. Hallandale (as it came to be known) flourished, and is truly one of the gems on the Gold Coast.
Hallandale is just minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and Miami International Airports, which makes it a great place to act as a base for a South Florida vacation. This isn?t to say there aren?t a lot of fun things to do in Hallandale itself; Hallandale offers access to pristine beaches, world-class golf, and fantastic restaurants. In addition to these somewhat common attractions (pretty much all of South Florida is long-suited in golf, beaches, and restaurants), Hallandale is home to Gulfstream Park, one of the finest horse racing tracks in the nation.
If you can pick the ponies, you?ll love Gulfstream Park. Recently renovated, it now boasts a one and one-eighth mile dirt oval and a one-mile turf oval. It hosts dozens of events each year, and is the three-time host of the Breeder?s Cup Championship. In short, this is a world-class racetrack, so if you?re a fan, this is the place to go in Florida. Gulfstream Park has also recently become a venue for concerts and performances, so be sure to check out what?s going on before you plan your trip to Hallandale.
Naturally, a trip to watch The Sport of Kings at Gulfstream Park just wouldn?t be complete without a ride in a limousine (or other luxury vehicle) from Millenium limo. Pamper yourself as royalty should ? after all, even if you don?t win at the track, you?ll win on the ride back. Gather any racing aficionado friends that you may have and head to Hallandale in your Millenium Limo ? good times are guaranteed to be had by all.

Fort Pierce is an appealing town on the Treasure Coast that has a number of attractions that make it well worth visiting. For starters, Fort Pierce offers excellent local restaurants and lodging choices, as well as a very nice recreation area on the north side of Fort Pierce Inlet where you can swim, fish, picnic, and otherwise just relax. There is also a UDT Navy Seal Museum (possibly the only museum devoted entirely to the trained aquatic mammals of the armed forces), a botanical garden, and a wildlife preserve. The attractions of Orlando (including Disney World) are within a two-hour drive of Fort Pierce, so there is plenty to do. My favorite attraction in this area, however, is right inside Fort Pierce ? these are the attractions done and sponsored by the Main Street Fort Pierce Project.
Main Street Fort Pierce is devoted to historical preservation and creating new economic development in Fort Pierce. In addition to acquiring historic buildings (for instance, the Sunrise Theater, a venue dating back to 1923 that they renovated and turned into a performing arts center ? they now feature weekly shows), they sponsor a wide variety of enjoyable programs. One of my favorites is Friday Fest. Friday Fest is the most popular street festival on the Treasure Coast. It is held the first Friday of every month and features live entertainment, food, and drink. Each month, over 5,000 people show up for the festival, and more are coming all the time.
The Fort Pierce Friday Fest would be an ideal opportunity to head to Fort Pierce in a Millenium Limo for some much needed fun. You wouldn?t have to worry about navigating unfamiliar territory, you could imbibe as much as you want, taking in the sites and sounds of Fort Pierce, and then you could be driven back home ? all in the comfort and luxury of a Millenium Limousine. It would be at once relaxing and exhilarating, as well as the perfect way to get out to a part of Florida that you many never make it to. Try out Fort Pierce, there?s really something there for everyone.

Coral Gables (known simply as ?Gables? to the natives) is a unique community ? surrounded by the sprawl of Miami, it was originally conceived to be an answer to that sprawl ? a planned city with plazas and fountains in the midst of attractive buildings inspired by Mediterranean architecture. It is full of upscale homes, upscale shopping, and other patrician attractions. Without a doubt, one of the most interesting attractions in this community is the Venetian Pool.
The Venetian Pool is, in essence, a swimming pool ? though it may well be the only swimming pool on the national registry of historic places. It?s also probably the only pool with a Spanish fountain, vine covered loggias, and waterfalls that spill into a lagoon, complete with coral rock caves. The now magnificent pool got its start rather humbly, as a quarry pit. Fed by an artesian well far under the pool, 800,000 gallons of fresh water are pumped into it everyday, and an enterprising artist named Denman Fink was able to turn it into the spectacular attraction that it is today. Generations of Miamians and Coral Gables-anites have learned to swim in and enjoyed the Venetian Pool. It is a fantastic place to go and relax in watery comfort, though unfortunately the pool is no longer a place where families can dispose of their loved one?s final remains. No burial at sea.
For those who love swimming, the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is the place to go in the Miami area. Naturally, it matches perfectly with a trip in a limousine from Millenium Limo. This would be an ideal scenario for such an excursion: a loved one has recently graduated from college, you, her family, wants to have a special get-together to celebrate this momentous occasion. A barbecue is planned, but you want?.MORE. So what do you do? You rent a Millenium Limo, have the family pile inside, and enjoy the amazing Venetian Pool in Coral Gables. You can frolic in the fountains, enjoy the lagoon, and lounge by the side of the pool. All this activity will no doubt work up a mighty hunger, just in time for the barbecue. This is only one use for the Venetian Pool and Millenium Limo ? imagine how many more there are?

Vacationing in the Caribbean can be like visiting a little piece of paradise, but all that fun in the warm island sun can quickly turn into a disaster. Many vacationers take for granted that the sun is not only a source of enjoyment, but also of extreme heat that can cause severe health problems if the right precautions aren’t taken. Vacationers should be aware that the sun’s powerful rays can damage skin and cause fatigue, dehydration, and other heat-related illnesses, such as heat-stroke. By taking a few preventative measures before heading to the beach, travelers can avoid some very uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situations.
Some Helpful Tips:
Staying healthy during your Caribbean retreat doesn’t necessarily mean totally avoiding the sun. Beach-bums and sun worshiping visitors don’t have to give up their afternoons in the sand. Rather, travelers can spend time outdoors enjoying the sun in a healthy way as long as they keep in mind a few helpful tips. For a safe and sunny Caribbean vacation, remember:
Sunscreen can prevent very painful skin irritations and burns that are caused by the sun’s powerful UV rays as well as various types of skin cancers that have been associated with exposure the the sun. When applying the lotion, pay extra attention to sensitive areas like your ears, nose, shoulders, eyelids, and the tops of your feet. It can be easy to get caught up in all of the exciting outdoor activities the region has to offer, and wearing sunscreen may be the last thing on your mind. But bear in mind that severe sunburn can occur in less than 20 minutes in the Caribbean, and insist on regular applications!
Protective clothing can also block the sun’s harmful rays from burning delicate skin. Light colored clothing reflects the sunlight, whereas dark clothing absorbs it. When packing for a trip, travelers should try to pack light, airy clothing, including cotton items, in order to stay cool outdoors. Other protective items that can be worn to lessen the effects of the sun’s potentially harmful rays are sunglasses to protect sensitive eyes, aloe vera to soothe sun-exposed skin, and hats to protect the face and scalp.
Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, if you’re going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time. Many travelers fall victim to dehydration, which can happen suddenly. If you start feeling dizzy or nauseous, or if you develop a headache after being exposed to the sun, seek medical attention.
Find shady spots. Many of the region’s islands have beaches that are adorned with lush palm trees. Not only are these trees beautiful to look at, but they also provide an excellent source of shade where beachgoers can escape scorching afternoon temperatures.
Along with these solar suggestions, there are a few other things that travelers can do to beat the heat while vacationing in the Caribbean. First, gauge the severity of the sun’s rays before heading out on your excursion by looking for your shadow. If your shadow isn’t visible, there is a higher chance that you can get burned than if you can see it. Also, the sun is at its most powerful between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., so you may want to plan your outing either before or after the heat is at its peak. And when making a splash in the salty ocean waters remember that your chances of getting sunburned increase while you’re in the water.
The sun poses a potential health hazard to vacationers but severe illness can be easily avoided by taking a few precautionary measures. After heeding these tips, you’ll find you can still enjoy plenty of sunshine and fun during your Caribbean vacation.

Kure Beach, located along North Carolina?s southern shore, may not be the attention hog of the beach vacation family, but it is certainly deserving of a little attention. If you seek a getaway that will satisfy you and your companions in a pleasant, quiet, steady way, then think about focusing your energy on this heavenly stretch of sand and surf for your next trip.
Coastal North Carolina is peaceful and inviting; just ask the many travelers who make their way here every year. There?s something about a place that forbids the structure of tall buildings and sometimes requires the use of off-road vehicles to get to your desired destination. You?re out in the middle of nowhere, but it?s not really nowhere. It?s beachy, breezy, and beautiful; perfect for distracting your mind from its usual worries and conducive to talking and bonding with the ones that are closest to you. Life can move pretty fast sometimes, so it is important to steal a few days a year and devote them to enjoyment and frivolity.
The landscape, almost stark in the way that the houses line the shore and flat lands stretch far into the distance, is also calmly inviting. Kure Beach (pronounced cure-ee, by the way) is largely residential and fits into the category of tranquil, yet it has a few touristy qualities that will show visitors a good time. These include a pier that is perfect for fishing and people watching, several restaurants where you?re sure to find fresh seafood on the menu, and a boardwalk that is made extra friendly thanks to night lights and benches. Taste the life of a beach dweller as you wander the town that is adequately equipped for visitors and charming, yet somehow avoids feeling like a tourist trap.
South of the bustling-in-its-own-way center is the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area and Historic Site, which provides a natural expanse for all the outdoorsy activities you?ve been daydreaming about as you sit in your office or survey the concrete parking lots and strip malls that seem to dominate your hometown. Anywhere along the beach, really, you?ll be able to swim, scuba dive, windsurf, sail, or water ski. Even going for a walk or jog along the shore or renting a bike and hitting the trail will seem like unearthly delights, as it really has been a while since you?ve spent some quality time with Mother Nature.
The ocean is the star of the show when it comes to visiting Kure Beach, so set yourself up in a way that will allow you to truly get what you came for. Do this by renting a vacation home along the beach, a place that will let you sleep, eat, and dream closer to the sea than you ever have before. Let the tides determine your schedule and your body?s rhythms, and don?t go too long without dipping your toes in the salty surf. Let the sounds lull you to sleep at night, and rise knowing that each day will be as beautifully simple as the last.
Also part of your vacation rental experience will be the chance to pretend that you really do live in an uncomplicated world filled with minor adventures, constant leisure time, and hopefully a bit of family togetherness. Raid the game closet and challenge your kids to an old-fashioned favorite, or buy a few groceries and prepare a meal. The barbecue grill and patio will give dinner an extra punch that your usual fare doesn?t always attain, so it?ll still feel like something special even though you?re cooking for yourselves.
The pleasant scenarios are endless, so whatever you?ve been craving that has yet to be discussed has an equal chance of being fulfilled during your Kure Beach holiday. Plan out this deserved trip to ensure that all goes well, and start by perusing the Kure Beach NC Vacation Rentals.

The past vacation memories of arguing over the one hotel bathroom and tiny room quarters will all now be replaced with blissful memories of the luxurious villa.

If you?ve had enough time lounging on the beach, but you?re still enjoying the warm sunshine, grab your sandy towels and head to your private swimming pool and hot tub. The outdoor shower and washing machine are perfect amenities to help with leaving the sand outside! The kids will love shooting down the winding pool slide and you can enjoy relaxing poolside with your favorite novel.
